Inspection requests MUST be made through the SDL portal.  The link may be found on our website on the Building Department page.

NJDCA now requires all requests for permit inspections to be submitted to the Building Department in writing. This can be done through our SDL software portal by clicking on the link below and following the prompts. An e-mail confirmation of your inspection will be sent to you when approved.

CONSTRUCTION & DEMOLITION HOURS & REQUIREMENTS

Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Construction may NOT be performed on legal holidays or Sundays.

Rough inspections for Electrical, Plumbing AND Fire must pass prior to requesting a framing inspection.  If you are not sure whether or not a rough inspection is required, please call the Building Department before you proceed.

*Torque requirements as per NEC 2020 will be enforced.

Property must be baited for rats before construction begins for demolition, addition, new construction and any other work where digging/soil disturbance takes place. 

Contractors should be mindful of waste, especially human food, wood and cardboard.
