Cheif John A. Zotollo Jr

Chief John A. Zotollo, Jr. began his career with the Saddle Brook Police Department in 1995. After three years as a patrol officer, he was assigned to the Detective Bureau in 1998. Chief Zotollo rose through the ranks and was promoted to Captain in 2016.

During that time, he held positions as Detective Sergeant, Detective Lieutenant, Patrol Platoon Lieutenant, and the division command positions of Investigations/Services Commander, Patrol Commander and Administrative Commander.

In 2022, he was appointed as the Officer-in-Charge assigned to run the day-to-day operations of the Police Department.

Chief Zotollo graduated from Saddle Brook High School in 1984 and obtained his bachelor’s degree in education from Tusculum University in Tennessee. He has received extensive training in leadership and supervision, criminal investigations, drug unit and undercover management, internal affairs administration, policy creation and accreditation management, media relations, and computer administration.

Chief Zotollo has received several honors and awards including a Letter of Commendation from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office, Officer of the Year from American Legion Post #415, a Recognition Award from the New Jersey Public Safety Accreditation Coalition, and a Certificate of Special Recognition from the International Crime Prevention Coalition.
