Captain John Zotollo

Captain Zotollo began his journey at the Saddle Brook Police Department in 1995.  After several years in the Patrol Division as a patrol officer, he was assigned to the Detective Bureau in 1998.  After being on-loan and receiving training from the Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office for several years, Captain Zotollo returned to Saddle Brook to continue his career in the Investigations Division.

Captain Zotollo graduated Saddle Brook High School in 1984 and obtained his bachelor’s degree in education from Tusculum University in Tennessee.  He has received extensive training during his career, which includes Leadership and SupervisionCriminal InvestigationsDrug Unit and Undercover ManagementHIDTA and Top GunInternal Affairs AdministrationPolicy Creation and Accreditation Management, Media Relations and Computer Administration.

He has received several honors and awards including Letter of Commendation / Bergen County Prosecutor’s OfficeOfficer of the Year / American Legion Post #415Recognition Award / New Jersey Public Safety Accreditation Coalition, and Certificate of Special Recognition / International Crime Prevention Coalition.

Captain Zotollo was promoted to the rank of Captain in 2016.

Throughout his career at Saddle Brook Police Department, Captain Zotollo has held the positions of Detective SupervisorDetective LieutenantPatrol Platoon Lieutenant; and the command positions of Investigations/Services CommanderPatrol Division Commander and Administrative Commander.

Currently, Captain Zotollo is the Officer in Charge of the Saddle Brook Police Department.
