The Saddle Brook Senior Center is open to all Senior Citizens 55 and older
Senior Center Hours
Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The senior bus is available for doctor’s visits from 8:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Wednesday (subject to certain restrictions). Food shopping on Thursday at Shop-Rite. All shopping requests must be called in by Monday of that week.
WELCOME
The 55+ Activities Group is newly formed and consists of The Saddle Brook Senior Center, Saddle Brook AARP Chapter #3785 and The Saddle Brook Senior Citizen’s Club. While these well-established organizations have been in existence for better than 40 years, they have combined their efforts and have an entirely new look and feel! The Senior Center is managed by Karen D’Arminio. SB AARP is chaired by President, Deb Cannariato and The Senior Citizen’s Club is headed by newly elected President, Paula Bernstein.
PURPOSE
Our goal is to attract 55+ Saddle Brook as well as greater Bergen County residents to come out, socialize and participate in the many activities, events and value-added forums scheduled throughout the year. It has been proven that regular socialization can help maintain a sense of purpose and meaning in our lives. In addition, engaging with others and contributing to the community can foster a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction. More than that – WE JUST HAVE FUN!
All 55+ residents are invited to attend any of our scheduled activities without an obligation to join. If you choose to join AARP or The Seniors, you can then participate in the Joint Meetings highlighted below. WHY NOT COME AND CHECK US OUT?
Standard Senior Center Activities
SB Senior Hot Lunch Program will be introduced in March. Tentatively scheduled for every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 11: 30 – 12:30 pm.
Monday – Line Dancing Beginners 9:00 am Advanced Class 10:00
Tuesday & Thursday - Exercise Class 10:00 am
Every other Wednesday – Zumba Class 9:15 am
Wednesday – Bingo 1:00 pm
Thursday – Happy Stitchers 1:00 pm
Friday – Bingo 1:00 pm
Trips are scheduled throughout the year such as: Mt Hope Estate & Winery Murder Mystery at Mount Hope Mansion, Ocean City Maryland 4 days/3-night, Atlantic City Casinos and much more! Call Karen D’Arminio at the Center at (201) 845-4594 for information.

The Saddle Brook Senior Club meets on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m. at the Senior Citizen Center, 8 Caldwell Avenue, Saddle Brook.
Saddle Brook Senior Citizens Club invites Saddle Brook residents age 55 and older (spouse is automatically eligible) to its meetings.
